Art direction and design for the coolest event shop in Oakland

At The Gingers, disruption didn’t mean tearing something down, it meant elevating it. We didn’t chase gimmicks or shock value. We obsessed over the details that made people feel seen, safe, and curious. We used design as a quiet guide – a way to nudge behavior, spark delight, and open people up without forcing it. By doing that again and again, we showed that you can change an industry not by blowing it up, but by caring enough to do it better.

Something new...and a little unexpected.

If we couldn’t find it, we made it.

From mini cake stands to an acrylic altar, we tackled every challenge as a chance to get creative. Some of the best ideas and most memorable details came from solving problems this way — building exactly what the moment needed, even when it didn’t exist yet.

We had the privilege of working with incredible couples, but what really stood out were the amazing unique women at the center of it all. Their vision, energy, and trust made everything we created possible, and collaborating with them is what made the work truly unforgettable.

As the co-founder and creative director, I created our internal branding including uniforms, client and seasonal gifts, interior design of the office space and presentation templates. I was also responsible for all visual and aesthetic touch points for all our events, including everything from the guest communications and signage to physical decor and layout of guest gifts.

Stationery and signage are more than just a functional necessity. We believed they were another way to extend the story of an event, and I loved bringing visions to life, experimenting with new materials, and finding unique ways to surprise guests. Every detail was an opportunity to reinforce the branding, captivate people, and deliver something they didn’t expect.

Our neon uniforms were an instant hit with vendors and venues at our events – bold, bright, and impossible to miss. As if the red hair wasn't already doing the trick, the neon made sure anyone could spot us in a crowd. Functional and unforgettable.

We built experiences that sparked curiosity and connection. The Typecasters, an interactive performance duo who delivered anonymous, positive messages to guests, was one of our proprietary activations.
